Terms of Service

Effective August 1, 2026

These terms are an agreement between you and Forever Filed (“we,” “us,” “our”), a personal document-storage service. By using the app, you agree to these terms. We’ve tried to keep them short and plain. If you have questions, email me at darrenadouglas@gmail.com.

Using the service

Forever Filed lets you scan, store, search, and share your own documents. Please use it only for lawful purposes and only for documents you have the right to store. Do not use the app to store content that is illegal or that infringes someone else’s rights, and do not try to access another person’s account or disrupt the service.

You are responsible for keeping your sign-in method secure and for the documents you choose to store.

Not professional advice

Forever Filed is a place to keep and find your documents. It is not a substitute for professional advice. Nothing in the app, including anything produced by the Ask feature, is legal, medical, or financial advice. For important decisions, please consult a qualified professional.

Subscriptions and payment

Forever Filed is free to use for its core features. We also offer an optional paid tier, Forever Filed Premium, which unlocks unlimited Ask questions.

  • Premium is billed through the App Store using your Apple ID. Payment is charged at confirmation of purchase.
  • You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your App Store settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
  • Prices and features may change; we will let you know of material changes in advance.

The service is provided “as is”

We work hard to keep Forever Filed reliable and secure, but the service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not guarantee that the service will always be uninterrupted or error-free. We are not a substitute for keeping your own copies of documents that are critical to you.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, Forever Filed and its developer will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service will not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

Ending your account

You can stop using Forever Filed at any time and delete your account and all of your documents from Settings in the iOS app. We may suspend or end accounts that violate these terms or that are used to harm the service or other people.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which the developer resides, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make a significant change, we will update the effective date above and, where appropriate, let you know in the app. Continuing to use Forever Filed after a change means you accept the updated terms.
